Promoting an existing product is one of the easiest ways to make money on the internet. In fact, most of the “get-rich-schemes” that involve online marketing are affiliate based. The concept is simple, you sign up for an affiliate program for a specific product, you receive a special URL with a unique ID tied to your name, and when you promote that special link, you get credit for the sale. A Definitive Guide to Developing Your Own Product

In the last chapter, I explained the importance of marketing products within a particular niche market. There are two different ways to do this, you can develop your own product or you can promote someone else’s product. In this chapter, I’m going to teach you the basics of developing your own product. There are advantages and disadvantages to promoting your product vs. promoting some one else’s product. The biggest disadvantage is that you have to build an entire product from scratch. Another is that you will have to deal with customers and provide the best customer service possible. Finding a Profitable Niche

It is my opinion and that of several other internet marketers that the best way to make quick money online is to focus of a well-researched niche. It is a beautiful way to market to a highly targeted group of people, while spending as little money as possible, by selling knowledge you already know. It is also the best way to increase the chances of a sale because the prospective buyer is already interested in your product or products like yours. If you were selling Girl Scout uniforms, you wouldn’t target the boy scouts would you? Being highly targeted will keep your business alive. (more…)
