Monday, I aired my very first podcast for SolarSwift.com. The name of the show is “Results Driven Marketing” and it’s a resource devoted to transforming your website into your most valuable asset. Because this was my first show, there was a huge learning curve I needed to overcome-and I thought it would be nice to share some of my experiences with you all. Continue Reading…
I am very exited to share with you all the great things that are coming to SolarSwift in the next 4-6 weeks. These things include the development of a powerful Internet Marketing iPhone Application, a Weekly Podcast downloadable on iTunes, and a monthly Video subscription on YouTube.
For as long as I can remember, keyword research has been an intimidating task for anybody I’ve worked with. After all, it’s the most important part of an Internet Marketing strategy-finding the words and phrases searchers use when they look for products and services. When starting a campaign, I spend at least 20-30 hours researching targeted keywords, so you can understand my frustration when I see websites that don’t do their homework. You can always tell when a website is poorly thought out when their bounce rate (rate of departure due to irrelevant data) is through the roof. Continue Reading…
I always hated the idea of Social Networking because publishing personal information to the public frightened me. We’re living in the times of Too Much Information (TMI). In the 1990’s I would laugh at those who consistently changed their “away” message on AOL Instant Messenger. A friend of mine was so infatuated that every time he showered, he would update his auto responder to “I’m hoping in the shower, be back in 20 minutes”. Continue Reading…
A new year is approaching and we’re starting to see a new turn in Internet Marketing. I have this conversion about once a week with new clients and most find this topic both fascinating and frightening at the same time–so I felt this is the perfect venue to talk about Google Insurance and why every company can’t afford to be without it.
Affiliate marketing is one of the many ways I make money with on the Internet. I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, because I think that’s important that people are aware and comfortable about whose trying to sell them products on the Internet. Continue Reading…
I’m an Internet Marketer by trade. It is my full-time career to make websites look good and make money for people. The problem that I constantly see, however, is that a lot of my clients simply don’t understand everything involved with making a website marketable. Some think that it’s your web design that makes you marketable, with the “if you build it, they will come” mentality. Some are more concerned about simply having a website with a contact page, with the “if I have a website, everyone will find me and contact me instantly” mentality. The truth is, it takes a lot of work to a get a website together that is marketable and achieving the conversions you’re looking for. Here is my formula. I can’t guarantee it will work for every business, but it certainly works for me. Continue Reading…
Finding a profitable niche is the most important part of starting an online business. If you want to be involved in a lucrative opportunity, you must be willing to investigate popular keywords to sell to your specific niche. Some business opportunities are going fail and some are going to be great successes. In my experience, 50% of my startups are failures. Unfortunately, it’s a matter of trial and error whether your business is going to be successful or not. Continue Reading…
Internet Marketing products are seriously a dime a dozen, but as you’ve probably noticed from this blog, I’m constantly adding reviews for products that I love and use on a day-to-day basis. There is one promise that I made to myself whenever I got started in marketing: to never deceive in an effort to make a sell–either as a product developer or an affiliate. This is why I only review the best products on my blog. You’re not going to find a cheesy one paragraph summary of the product here, I usually try to walk you through the advantages of the product and how I use (or intend to use) them. Continue Reading…
As I’ve mentioned before, search engines are getting smarter everyday—so the schemes webmasters use to improve their PageRank can change at anytime. Google is going into the direction of relevancy and their goal is to give the person searching for a specific keyword exactly what they’re looking for. This is why having a high quality website that searchers want to visit is so important. Continue Reading…
