We’ve seen the stock market in its worst condition since the Great Depression. We’ve seen a recession so large that jobs are cut nationwide and the national unemployment rate is at record setting highs. We’ve seen age-old businesses close their doors permanently and I have no doubt that our elections this year we’re swayed by our “struggling” economy.

With all that is happening in our country, it’s easy to get sucked into the misery. Make no mistake, as a country we are in a depression. Maybe not a traditional economic depression, but we are all falling for the hype and contributing to our own downfall.

We listen to our friends and family, who may have experienced some of the effects of this recession, and by doing so we continue to fuel the fire. When we watch the news-an outlet that only shows one side of the story-our anxiety grows, as do our fears. All of our credit cards have high balances and the holidays are only making things worse. No one seems to be in the holiday spirit this year. Take a drive through your neighborhood and see the difference in the amount of decorations compared to last year. I’m sure it looks more like January than December.

The fire is only going to get bigger, so I encourage all of you to stop listening to the hype. By contributing to this negativity, you are polluting the energy that makes you money. Marie Forleo, a Life Coach I’m following, has a saying I really admire: “No two things can occupy the same place at the same time”. You’re either complaining or your producing. This is especially true with our nation as a whole. Those who are complaining about the economy are not making things better and are certainly not producing anything.

This economy is a once in a lifetime opportunity to do something great. Some of the greatest companies and products in history were created during economic downturns. I honestly feel that this is the best time in history to start a business. The ups and downs we are experiencing are part of a natural economic cycle-that’s right, what we are experiencing is completely normal.

Although people are more selective when buying products, they are still spending money. If you have a product or service that brings excellent value to someone else’s life, you have more advantages than you might think. The guy with charisma always ends up at the top. While everyone else is complaining and sobbing over money, now is the time to be a Rockstar. Be the best at what you do. Blog about it, Podcast it, YouTube it, write a song about, Social Network it, Twitter it-do everything possible grow. Shout it from the rooftop, with a huge grin on your face, and make something of yourself. It’s the best time to be alive!

Introduction to Online Marketing

A.J. There are schools that offer degree programs on the subject, but don’t even break the ice on this ever-changing, confusing, and profitable field. The purpose of this book is to teach you how to become a successful online entrepreneur—including all of the techniques to ensure success with any product you want to promote. This is part one of the Amazing Design Secrets Package and in these next chapters, you will attain all of the concepts you need to make amazing money online.

Have you ever wanted to make serious money while working from home? We all do and you can do it too! I don’t care what you’ve heard or what people have told you, there are hundreds of ways to make a great living from your home—you just have to know the tricks that I’m going to reveal to you in this book. The first secret I would like to unveil is that nothing is free and the Internet is run by those who buy and sell traffic. Every link that you click on is in most occasions strategically placed to get your business. Throughout this book, you’ll find that almost every product you purchase on the Internet pays advertising dollars and/or commissions to get you to their page so that you will buy their product.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrew J. McClary, and I’ve been building successful marketing strategies for my clients for ten years. I can’t tell you how many clients have come to me with absolutely amazing products with no idea how to promote them. Many of them had worked with web designers before, and although they had great looking designs, their website lacked the optimization needed drive valuable traffic to it. If you have a quality product or service, no matter what it is, YOU CAN sell it online—that’s the beauty of this technology. I am so excited to unveil these “secrets” to you.

These concepts are not really secrets though, and I want you to remember that throughout this book. The people who know how to market online will always have an advantage over those who do not know how to market online—it truly is the survival of the fittest in the internet marketing game. In fact, money people who market their products online actually profit off of those who miss-market their products. If you dive into this industry with no knowledge at all, you will loose thousands of dollars—period! Please, pay close attention to this information because it will service you best in the long run.

This is not necessarily a how-to guide. Not very many people can teach you step-by-step how to create online marketing campaigns. It takes patience and experimentation and 90% of online businesses fail because of lack of knowledge. I encourage you to compliment this book with the design package of Amazing Design Secrets (book 2), and all of the complementary bonuses I’ve provided to you.

Selling your product online can be extremely difficult or extremely profitable—you just have to know what you’re doing. The great thing about selling products online is that advertisers are rewarded for delivering quality products to their customers by giving them exactly what they want. The internet is a place for instant gratification, and if you are able to give your customer exactly what they want, when they want it, you are more prone to being successful online. In fact, most online businesses fair solely because they were unable to give their customers what they wanted. Doing your research and heavily targeting a specific group of people is the name of the game.

Perhaps you’re just starting to learn html, web design, or even simple graphic design. This is the perfect time to learn that the internet is a totally different place when you sell products than a physical storefront is. Well, mostly different. See, the internet storefront grabs the attention of prospective customers quickly, while the physical storefront grabs the attention of prospective customers as they shop throughout their store. This is a huge advantage for internet marketers because those who want to buy products already know exactly what they want. For one, you have the opportunity to sell your product to billions of people around the world, which can make you extremely successful if you play your cards right. It’s absolutely amazing that you can pick a product in a particular niche and grab 100,000 people that are looking for that exact product from around the world and make thousands of dollars per day just off of their interest.

The internet has totally changed the marketing world, and what you’ve learned in college is probably obsolete today (even if you just got out of college). There are so many techniques that simply do not work anymore. Take telemarketing for example, it simply does not work anymore. People hate getting phone calls, and they also hate them when they’re unsolicited. Door-to-door sales, like those who sell vacuum cleaners, is a business model that doesn’t work well anymore for anyone. How can the door-to-door salesman compete with Amazon.com? They simply cannot. The days of desperate, in your face marketing, have changed and now it’s all about giving customers what they want when they want it.

Keeping your customers happy will go a long way. If you have a product you would like to sell online, you need a website (which I can teach you to build professionally with Part II of the Amazing Design Secrets course) and a shopping cart (which you can get from places like PayPal and ClickBank). My sole advice to you is to treat your customer’s right, build a quality product, give away a lot of free resources, and offer a return policy. That is my formula for success.

In the spirit of spreading the world on such a great technology, I encourage you to promote this book yourself. I’ll actually pay you commission (a whopping 75% per order just for purchasing this course). Yes, you’ve heard me right; I am giving you the opportunity to earn the price you paid for this book back several times over by simply becoming an affiliate. If you are interested, please feel free to e-mail me at info@amazingdesignsecrets.com and an affiliate manager when provide you with an affiliate link to use in your advertising campaigns, newsletters, and other venues.
I would like to thank you again for purchasing this course and I hope that these books will make a dramatic change in your life and your profits. When you finish reading this book, I encourage you to read and practice Part II of the course (the design part) and the several bonuses I have provided in the members only section of the website.

You have a website idea, can you market it?

A.J. It’s actually one of the biggest mistakes people make in business-that their idea is so magnificent everyone is going to want to buy it, when in fact nobody will ever care about the website you’re trying to develop.

This is where you need to draw the line on whether it’s worth it or not. If you want to design a website for your company, but have no way or reason to market it, perhaps you should keep the website small and not put very much effort into it. Designing a website that is intended to get no traffic is a complete waste of time, and this is what most web designers are going to talk you into doing. After all, why spend money designing a website that nobody is ever going to visit?

If web design is something that you’re genuinely interested in learning, the first thing that you need to realize is that it is not a computer skill; it’s a marketing skill. Sure, there are many computer skills that you are about to learn, like writing HTML and coding CSS, but they are minor lessons in the marketing world. There are way too many great website ideas on the internet, but most people are unable market them properly so they slowly turn into somebody’s weekend hobby and never see the potential that the developer original strived for.

Let me reveal to you one of the biggest mistakes people make when putting together a website: They decide to build a website that “everybody” can find interest in. The Internet today is full of these websites and none of them have any type of relevancy to them whatsoever. If you want to succeed, you need to target a small sample of people. We call this niche marketing and it is the best way to get genuinely interested people to your website. For example, don’t design a website for those who are interested in sports. Instead, design a website for women who love basketball. People will be more interested in what you have to say when you are targeting a niche market.

When designing a website, try to focus on solving somebody’s problem-rather than trying to make some kind of money off of them or give them useless content. People respond very well when they feel that they’re not being heavily marketed to and are getting answers to their important questions.

Before you get started designing a website, it is a good idea to do research on whether people are actually searching for the content that you are writing. You can do this by using going to several comparable websites and seeing how their content is laid out. Google is one of the best tools to find out if your topic is popular. Remember, competition is a really good thing! It means that the idea you are about to put together is working for someone!

Starting Your Own Web Design Business

A.J. Don’t think, however, that we didn’t have any competition! It was tough, probably worse than it is today. Everyone seemed to be a webmaster and had no problem cranking out ugly websites from their Front Page editor and selling them for ridiculously high prices.

We went a different approach. Instead, we built the highest quality websites available and sold them for bargain basement prices. Our hourly rate has always been fair and our customer service has always been superb. In the beginning, this was very difficult for us, because we saw our competition get richer and richer. Soon, however, we noticed all of our competitors dropping like flies. Suddenly companies didn’t want cheesy websites, but wanted a higher quality for their money. Also, there were webmaster classes in high schools and the nephew of a company’s CEO could do it for free, or an intern could take over. Soon, it seemed that every one of our competitors went out of business and we were the only ones left.

Since then we’ve become huge, with three offices across the country. We build websites for famous musicians, large businesses, small businesses; minority owned businesses…the list goes on and on. I guess the moral of this story is that you are not going to survive as a business unless you deliver the best products to your customers. If you are bad at what you do or if you’re lazy, perhaps business is not the field for you. But if you’re really into what you do, and you love doing it and never settle for less than perfect, you can become very successful very fast!

If you are interested in web design, learn html and graphic design and build an online presence. In my book, Amazing Design Secrets, I’ve given you all of the tools to succeed as a web designer and build websites like the professionals do! If you’re interested in someone to build a website for you, and you don’t want to learn yourself, feel free to contact me and I’ll have one of my web design studios give you a quote. We live in a world where people want information, and in many cases, people are willing to pay for information, like they do for my Amazing Design Secrets course. I created this course because I am just sick of all of the resources that exist today to learn html, graphic design, and web design. One day, I though to myself “I can do better”, so I decided to do just that. I sat down for months and months and I wrote a 140 page book, and when I was done I said “this isn’t enough” so I then created 33 videos to go along with it. Luckily, there are millions of people in this world that want to learn web design and are willing to pay a small price to get step by step instructions and lessons from a professional to become a professional themselves.

You probably see this everywhere, there are websites devoted to turning people from amateur guitarists into rock stars, the overweight into sports stars, and unemployed into small business owners. This is the information age and the possibilities are endless! WE ALL have a skill that someone wants, why not write teach it to someone else? If you are interested in writing an e-book or if you’ve already written one, I’d love to hear about it and I encourage you to write it out and see what happens! Here are some simple steps to getting an e-book together:

Come up with an idea

Write what you know

Make your product a quality product

Give your customer exactly what they want

Build a well designed website to endorse your product

Sell for fair prices

Offer a return policy if the customer isn’t satisfied
