As someone who has had a few experiences connecting with departed loved ones from the other side, I thought it would be interesting to write an article on how you can tell if a spirit is trying to get in contact with you.
The way I understand it is when a person dies, their spirit sheds their physical body first, then their mental and emotional bodies. I’ve been pretty lucky. I’ve only experienced the death of just a few people who were close to me in this life. One person in particular, who I really loved, was my Grandmother. She’s such a beautiful loving soul and I was really close with her when she was alive. She passed away after being very sick for a long time about 2 years ago. I’ve always been a dreamer. I dream just about every night, so I think it’s crazy when I hear from people that they never dream at night. They come in all different shapes and sizes. There are those that repeat themselves regularly—same plots, same people, and the same lesson. There are others that are just strange and don’t make much sense. Sometimes I’m in the first person, sometimes I’m in the third person. Sometimes they’re in color and sometimes in black and white. This is a great question I get A LOT—”What is my Spirit Guide’s name?”. Everybody wants to know their Spirit Guide’s name! I just wish I could consistently channel names! I gotta admit, they don’t always come through.
Here’s my point of view. It might very well differ from what you’ll read in books or learn from other teachers, but: I don’t necessarily believe Spirit Guides have names. I think they might give us names sometimes so we can communicate with them with easier, but I don’t always get them when I do readings. Read more →
