Average Pay of Web Designers in the United States
If you’re interested in becoming a web designer, I would like to recommend that you take my Amazing Design Secrets course. To learn HTML, graphic design, and everything you need to know about web design, I’ve included it inside of my course. I wanted to write an article for you about the pay that web designers can make and how this course can help you achieve the pay you’ve always wanted (if you chose to make a career move). Here are a few figures from Salary.com in the United States targeted to a major city (Washington, DC).
- Web Designer
- 10th Percentile: $47,966 per year
- 25th Percentile: $56,221 per year
- 75th Percentile: $76,365 per year
- 90th Percentile: $86,450 per year
- Senior Web Designer
- 10th Percentile: $68,797 per year
- 25th Percentile: $81,278 per year
- 75th Percentile: $110,712 per year
- 90th Percentile: $125,029 per year
If you own your own business, the numbers are even better. I have 50 clients in my current portfolio, here is an example of how much you could be making with an average customer bill of $2200 per year:
- 10 Clients Per Year
- $22,000 + $10,000 Maintenance = $32,000 Per Year
- 20 Clients Per Year
- $44,000 + $20,000 Maintenance = $64,000 Per Year
- 30 Clients Per Year
- $66,000 + $30,000 Maintenance = $96,000 Per Year
- 40 Clients Per Year
- $88,000 + $40,000 Maintenance = $128,000 Per Year
- 50 Clients Per Year
- $110,000 + $50,000 Maintenance = $160,000 Per Year
None of these figures above are perfect, but it represents a good example of what web designers can make with their clientele. With the tools I teach you in this book, there is no reason why you cannot make these figures. The possibilities are endless.
